Match, Transform, Develop| CR Expo 2019 Successfully Concluded

On October 12th, the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2019 (CR Expo) was successfully concluded at the Beijing National Convention Center.

During the three-day expo, fruitful results have been achieved by all participants, including exhibitors that unveiled their latest rehabilitation and assistive device products, and visitors from all walks of life across the world.

With 13 years'development of the rehabilitation and assistive device industry in China, the 2019 CR Expo was driven by innovation and technology, presenting a momentum of steady growth.

Covering an area of 25,000 m2, the Expo attracted over 300 companies from 16 countries and regions, as well as more than 50,000 professional visitors. As the largest international platform in China and the third largest in the world, the 2019 CR Expo gave full play to its functions of trade matching, information communication, and release of new products and new technology. It leads the future development of the industry, through actively promoting application and trading of technical achievements, and effectively interconnecting the supply and demand value chain.

Ardent Interaction, Fruitful Results

This section of CR Expo was ignited by various new products and technologies in areas of rehabilitation therapy, prostheses and orthoses, moving aids, hearing and visual aids, and daily living aids. Through professional display and matching, corporate exhibitors managed to create greater opportunities for corporation. Throughout the three-day Expo, all exhibition zones and pavilions were filled with visitors. The Expo witnessed the warm atmosphere and fruitful results in trade matching.

As pointed out by Mr. Zhou Guofeng, the business general manager of Permobile from Sweden, which has been exhibiting in CR Expo for several consecutive years:

“CR Expo is the most important exhibition for rehabilitation industry in China. It's a platform that cannot be missed, where manufacturers display their top-class products and best solutions, and professional visitors such as the Disabled Persons' Federation come to seek products that are most suitable for them.”

Sunrise Medical participated in the exhibition with a greater scale this year. Mr. Hu Xiaobao, the purchasing and sales director Sunrise Medical said that:

BrainCo, a rising star in the field of Brain-computer interface technologies, participated in the exhibition for the first time this year, and harvested many pleasant surprises. The founder of BrainCo, Mr. Han Bicheng excitedly commented that:

Visiting here in groups, the professional visitors have gained a lot.

Professional visitors, from China and abroad, have been attracted to the Expo to see exhibition, to exchange ideas and to make purchases. International organizations or institutions including the Cambodian National Hospital delegation and the Global Assistive Technology Alliance delegation also attended the expo, promoting international exchange and cooperation of the rehabilitation aid industry.

The domestic professional visitors mainly come from the Disabled Persons' Federation, civil affairs system, rehabilitation medical institutions, special education system, industrial organizations, and senior care system.

▶ Chinese Red Cross Foundation, China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, China Association of Social Workers, Special Education Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, Shandong Provincial Medical Association, Beijing Association of Senior Care Industries, Beijing Rehabilitation Medical Association, China Council of Lions Clubs, China Aging Development Foundation and other industrial associations;

▶ Beijing CHJ-Care Group, Yanda Health Care Center, Hexihui Senior Apartment of Haidian District Beijing, Sijiqing Town Senior's Home of Haidian District Beijing, Guangzhou City Social Welfare Institute, Beijing Second Social Welfare Institute, and other senior care institutions;

Sergei Gribanov, President of KRUST from Russia, is visiting the CR Expo for the second time. He said，

We import a large number of assistive devices for rehabilitation from China every year. We saw a lot of new products here at many booths such as Aooman and Rejointech, and discovered many products we are intending to further discuss about procurement. We also communicated with several long-term partners.

Jingdong Health even signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Fujian Disabled Persons'Federation at the scene. Mr. Ma Luyi, General Manager of the Medical Devices Department, said,

CR Expo is a leading professional platform in the field of assistive devices. We want to introduce some new products from the exhibition to Jingdong E-commerce platform to serve the disabled through more channels. Next year we will visit CR Expo again!

Experts Gathering to Contribute Wisdom at Concurrent Events

In the same period of the exhibition, more than 30 concurrent events including international seminars, policy exchange meetings, professional technology forums, launching conferences of new products and technologies, procurement docking meetings, barrier-free result shows, interactive experiences, etc. were successfully held. More than 1,000 experts from various fields of production, learning, research and application conducted multi-disciplinary discussions on hot topics such as innovative technologies and equipping services of assistive devices, rehabilitation of low vision, special education, prosthesis and orthopedics, construction of rehabilitation-specialized institutions, community-based rehabilitation, etc., promoting fruitful cooperation of participants.

Mr. Liu Jinsong, Department Director of Prosthetics and Orthotics of Beijing Bo’ai Hospital of China Rehabilitation Research Center, talked about his feelings about the organization, topics, shared content and other aspects of the Expo. He said,

A lot of professional and practical knowledge can be shared on the spot to help peers and practitioners in the industry to better provide equipping services of assistive devices, playing a significant role in popularizing the devices.
