China’s largest elderly care industry convention, the 3rd China International Silver Industry Exhibition (SIC), is set to take place at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou on November 11-13, 2016. There will be pavilions from Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries/regions of the world, and over a hundred exhibitors will be present from such places as the US, the UK, France, Mexico, Hungary, and Macao for a comprehensive exhibition of the best elderly care brands and technology the international community has to offer.
Global Brands and a Network of International Business Opportunity
The 3rd SIC has received strong support from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Australian Consulate, the UK Trade and Investment, the Netherlands Consulate-General in Guangzhou, and other such overseas entities to create a showcase of elderly care brands from over ten countries/regions.
Australian Pavilion —The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and the Commercial Section of the Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou will lead a team of over 30 people from the Australian government and the Australian elderly care industry in joining with top brands such as Austrade, Niagara, TasTAFE, PTW Architects, Charlton Brown, TMG College, Australian Dairy Park, Yellow Earth, Venture Capital Fund Australia, Gravitas Consulting Group, and RDNS China in the exhibition of advanced products and experience in the areas of home care, senior housing, health and medical care, and finances/investment.
Japanese Pavilion — 40 of the most well-reputed Japanese brands will exhibit top-of-the-line bathroom items, housing design, nursing care items, rehabilitation/assistive devices, and other such products and solutions. Some brands that will be present include TOTO, Paramount Bed, TacaoF, Shiga-SH, Anjoy, JCT, Nisshin Oillio, SAKAImed, Erecta,Aiphone, and Naka.
Taiwanese Pavilion — The EW Taipei Elderly Industry Development Association will come with over 30 Taiwanese brands, including Huijia Health, Taiwan BigData, Everget, Jet Crown, Nam Liong, Best Loving, Edenswear, Ephraim Ent., Central Transaction Services, Showa-37, Healthin, Yong Fuxin, Zero Biotech, Rui’en, and Nobelcare Health & Rehabilitation Taipei.
Hong Kong Pavilion —Around a dozen brands, including Propectin, Culture Homes, Zhong Jiangfu, and Bamboos Health Care, will showcase unique products in the areas of furniture and assistive devices.
In addition, other well-known international brands such as Kohler, Always, PADW, Shidao,Hungary China Europe World Co., and IIdea Trading, as well as top China-based names such as China Telecom, Youngai, Poly Hepin, China Life, Taiping Pension, Da Fukang, Schneider, Anjubao, Andesfit Health, BestSkip, and Taikang Community, will be at the event.
Summit Forum for Big Global Names
The 2016 China International Silver Industry Summit Forum will also be held at the 3rd SIC. The event, for which over 10,000 attendees are expected, will include over 20 sessions: the summit forum, sub-forums, special forums, and sourcing/pairing conferences.
Such exchange among international names is sure to be exceptional. Austrade and the Commercial Section of the Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou have teamed up with SIC in organizing the 2nd China-Australia Elderly Care Forum and China-Australia Human Resources Seminar for the Elderly Care and Health Industry, in which there will be in-depth discussion on opportunities and challenges for the industry supply-side reform, facilities for the elderly, and investment/operation modes. Co-organized with JETRO, the Sino-Japan Silver Industry Exchange Conference will give exhibitors a chance to meet with Japanese enterprises. Executive Director Wu Zhijian of PADW China will discuss design for elderly care in a speech entitled “Space for Care, Place to Live”. Managing Director Christine M. MacDonell at the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities will give a speech entitled “Quality Control and Management in Continued Care for Seniors”. And Hans Becker, board chairman and one of the cofounders of the Dutch senior housing organization Humanitas, will share on his ideas of the “Yes Culture”.
In addition, other topics such as supply-side reform, development/operation of senior housing, best practices and case studies from overseas, and innovation in training will be discussed from the most prospective angles at the forums. There will also be a look at the practices and development in elderly care services in the nearby Huangpu District of Guangzhou, discussion on senior housing opportunities within the trend of “new urbanization”, an academic conference on geriatrics, and sourcing/pairing conferences.
